Tips to help you get flawless skin without photoshop!



Believe it or not, in the above picture, I'm actually 8 year OLDER on the right. Finding quality products with a basic skincare routine has done wonders! Here are some tips to help you to find your flawless face!


1. HYDRATE!! -

(daily) This one should be a no-brainer, but I totally understand how coffee and wine comes first and water tends to come last, but don't forget to drink at least 8 glasses of water OR more. If you're a bigger girl (or guy) like me you actually need more than the recommended 8 glasses.

2. BEAUTY FROM THE INSIDE OUT-

(daily) lots of times your skin issues are actually caused by a problem within the body. Making more mindful eating choices, taking supplements like digestive enzymes, probiotics, and other "beauty blend" type vitamins that are meant for your hair, skin, and nails will help clear your skin, as well as, help tackle other things that you may not have realized were even an issue until your gut health is corrected and back on track.

3.REMOVE-

(daily) removing makeup before cleansing is an important step that will allow the next product you use- cleanser- to really get into the pores to wash the dirt off your skin. Also, never sleep in your makeup. It's terrible for your skin and can cause not only breakouts but also ages your skin faster. Makeup remover wipes are great for this step!

4. CLEANSE-

(daily) step 1 of a basic skincare routine...after removing any makeup, the next step is using the proper cleanser for your skin at least once daily. This will really clean your skin properly and get the dirt within your pores. Skipping step 3 and only cleansing to remove makeup will not allow the cleanser to get the dirt within your pores. If your cleanser makes your skin feel tight after using it then it's not the right one for you and is actually stripping too much from your skin.

5. TONE-

(after every cleanse) step 2 of a basic skincare routine...many people tend to skip this step the most, but toning your skin is so important because it helps to bring your skin back to its natural ph balance. Everyone needs to tone, but those with oily skin need it most as it will help reprogram your pores from overproducing oil.

6. MOISTURIZE-

(daily) step 3 of a basic skincare routine... after toning you want to moisturize. This will help the skin replenish the moisture that was stripped away during the cleansing process. And yes!! Even if you have oily skin you need to moisturize. Look for an oil-free one to help eliminate the extra oil.

7. EXFOLIATE -

(1-2x per week) as we age, our skin doesn't shed the dead skin like it did when we were younger. So it's important to help move it along by exfoliating 1 to 2x per week to help move those cells to their final resting place. This will help slow down the visibility of those fine lines and wrinkles as well.

8. PROTECT-

(daily) finally it's important to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Make sure to wear sunscreen every day to help protect your skin from those harmful rays. Even on cloudy, windy or snowy days during winter. Don't forget that I can customize your very own foundation that gives you extra protection by adding sunscreen and anti-aging in it!
